Connie currently serves as the Benefits Manager for Mesa County Valley School District 51, the largest K-12 school district between Salt Lake and Denver in Western Colorado. Her work in managing the District’s self-funded health plan has been instrumental in maintaining stable benefit costs, resulting in no premium increases for employees for the 2027 plan year. Connie’s accomplishments reflect careful planning, effective vendor management, and a commitment to balancing employees' needs with fiscal responsibility.
With more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience, she has dedicated her career to advancing value-driven strategies that improve health outcomes and lower costs. Her executive experience includes leading accountable care organizations and clinically integrated networks, establishing direct relationships with employer groups as a hospital executive, and assisting employers as a benefits consultant.
Connie received her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science and Nutrition from Murray State University and a Master of Arts in Health Promotion from the University of Georgia.
